A review of Joseph Rea by Anonymous written on Sunday 11th of May 2014
I visited the Ann Street branch to look at engagement rings. The salesperson was all sweetness and light and we put a deposit on a ring (no problem - if you find someone elsewhere, we'll give you the money back he said)
Decided to get a different ring elsewhere - came back for my money a week later and it was like the Spanish inquisition. Which jewellers? What was the ring like? We could do this, we could do that. When told it was bought on-line, the salesperson began then to bad mouth on-line retailers (if it needs resized you will have trouble - if there is a problem with the ring you can say goodbye to your money). He seemed oblivious to the fact that it I had made up my mind and it was too late and the ship had already sailed.
Its poor to see such a short term view as no matter what jewellery I am looking for in future I would never set foot in their store again, and that is all due to the very poor attitude shown by this salesperson. This is supposed to be a significant and happy occasion in a persons life, and shouldn't be ruined by a saleperson who was so unprofessional. I would guess he must know more about diamonds than he does people.
