A review of St Bernadette's Girls Primary School by ANNE KANE written on Monday 30th of May 2011
I AM THE GRAND NIECE OF MISS HEALY OR AS WE CALLED HER "KATE". SHE WAS PRINCIPAL OF ST BERNADETTES IN THE EARLY 1970S. SHE JUST LOVED HER GIRLS AND THOUGHT THE WORLD OF THEIR FAMILIES. KATE WAS FULL OF ENTHUSIASM AND WANTED THE VERY BEST FOR HER GIRLS. SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED WORKING IN BALLYMURPHY AND SHE OFTEN TALKED ABOUT THE GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT THE PEOPLE OF BALLYMURPHY SHOWED TOWARDS HER AND THE SCHOOL.
KATE DIED IN NOV 1993 AND OUR FAMILY MISS HER PRESENCE,HER STRENGTH,WISDOM AND LOVE EVERY DAY.
SHE WAS DEFINITELY A PEOPLE PERSON, SHE HAD TIME FOR EVERYONE AND ALWAYS REMEMBERED A FACE, SHE GENUINELY CARED ABOUT PEOPLE.
I NOW HAVE TWO CHILDREN AND WISH THEY HAD HAD THE PLEASURE AND PRIVILEGE OF KNOWING KATE.
THANKYOU
MRS ANNE KANE.
