A review of La Tasca by Samantha written on Tuesday 22nd of June 2010
We were soo excited to go to this restaurant for a special 10th anniversary dinner. Even LaTasca's website says,"if there is a special ocassion, let us know". We did,of course.Went for the special all you can eat tapas,a great bargain, plus, great tasting and well made.Informed the manager as we entered,it's a special night. He said, fine, and walked away.We try to not drink often,as there is quite enough of that already in Belfast going on and we were driving home.We got very bad service, actually, not much service at all,we had to pratically beg to get a glass of water. The impression we got from the staff was,if you're not ordering a lot of overpriced drinks, don't bother us.They of course, contrary to their website, did absolutely NOTHING special whatsoever for our party. We feel the staffs attitude practically recked our special evening, and to add insult to injury, the waitress never came around to check on us,we were lucky to get our food and seemed insulted when we did not tip/gratuity her. HA! she must be joking. And the staffs,"I don't care attitude" is really unnerving. We will NEVER go back to LaTasca, nor will we ever have another 10th anniversary. to all those we have told of our bad experience, "maybe you were having a bad day". No, it was a great day and evening. It simply got bad when we entered LaTasca..
