I have been a customer of Wyse-Byse, a progressively managed and comprehensively stocked general store located in the heart of East Belfast, for many years.

A recent full refit and extension of the Newtownards Road Branch provides customers with a spacious sales area and a wide range of goods from confectionery, stationery, garden supplies, motoring needs,household requirements and furniture all situated with easy ground floor access and convenient, nearby street parking. It is an excellent shop with pleasant ,helpful staff who clearly put the customer first and takes modern shopping to another and more pleasant dimension. There is as in most cases a fly in the ointment which is the unpleasant in-store music,designed exclusively for one section of the clientele. When I broached this with the manager a few years ago he never even got off his chair to greet me.
